Also the Propain Hugene, which we will present here in more detail, has received this honor. The comments in relevant magazines also speak for themselves.
The Propain Hugene is available in one wheel size
With the Hugene, you have a trail bike that can be used flexibly. With a suspension travel of 140/150 mm, you can master almost every area of use. You can use it for touring, to shred trails in the bike park or to ride across the mountain landscapes. As fast as it brings you down the trails, as easily it carries you back up the slope.
The lightweight carbon frame with the 29" wheelset ensures safety and efficiency. So you have no problem on climbs and can go full speed downhill. On the climbs, a flat steering angle and the steep seat angle support your efforts. Both provide a good climbing attitude without constantly pulling up the front wheel. Despite wider reach you still have an upright seating position.
There are several reasons why the Hugene is only available as a 29-incher among the new products. The larger tires mean better traction, because more rubber grips the ground. You're handling stones and rootage easier than with smaller tires. It also gives the bike a smoother ride and allows it to reach higher speeds. The longer wheelbase is an additional factor that contributes to the better smoothness. The Hugene CF 29 is a successful composition of traction, comfort and speed, coupled with good handling.
The trail bike has a guard on the chainstay as well as on the down tube. If necessary, the chainstay protection is easily and quickly changed. In the configurator you start with size L, but have the option to choose other frame sizes.
The bottom bracket stands for durability and the cabling in the frame provides not only for a beautiful appearance. During your adventures on the trails, it is protected from stone chips and branches at the edge of the track. Even the influence of weather conditions does not play a role. It makes them last longer and you have to change them less often.

The Propain Hugene comes in 3 versions, each with an excellent choice of components
For the most part the components are set on the same manufacturers, only with other product lines. For this Propain relies on well-known manufacturers, such as SRAM, Sixpack, Fox, Bikeyoke, Newmen and Schwalbe.
In addition, when the opportunity arises, the products are taken from their own development department. In the bike configurator you can choose other products, aside from the frame size, that suit you better.
Derailleurs & Brakes
Derailleur groups: On SRAM falls the choice for the individual parts of the circuit. Among them are for example the shift lever, front derailleur or rear derailleur and the most expensive Hugene version is equipped with the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS. The other two models are equipped with the SRAM X01 Eagle and GX Eagle respectively. The crank is also SRAM, with the Truvativ Descendant Carbon.
Brakes: For the brakes also the products of the Americans are used. You will find the SRAM G2 RSC, G2 Ultimate Carbon as well as the G2 R disc brakes. They offer very good braking performance so you can fully concentrate on the trails. Due to the excellent braking power, the disc brakes have experienced their breakthrough first in the mountain bikes sector.
With them, you can tackle the turns in the trails even more precisely, for maximum riding fun. You do need special tools, but that should not deter you. Especially in muddy passages or in the rain, they achieve an almost constant braking performance. Where rim brakes have their problems, the Disc Brakes are fully reliable.
Shock
Compared to a hardtail MTB, the suspension on the fully has a suspension fork plus a rear shock. For the suspension fork, you'll come across the Fox 34 Float FIT4 Factory Kashima, RockShox Pike Ultimate RCT3 and RockShox Pike Select. For the rear shock the Fox Float X 2nd Pos Factory or RockShox Deluxe Ultimate RCT is used.
Cockpit
Saddle: Through the bank, the Sixpack Kamikaze saddle is used here. Actually made for freeride and downhill, he also delivers a very good performance on the trails.
Seatpost: Each model was considered with its own seatpost. Here you'll find the Fox Transfer Factory, Bikeyoke Revive and the in-house product. The Bikeyoke Revive has a 150 mm stroke in bike size L, but in the configurator you can select other models as well.
Handlebars & stem: For the handlebars, the Sixpack Millenium 805 is used. For the stem, the Sixpack Millenium 45 and Sixpack Vertic 50 are used.
Wheels & tires
Wheels: Newmen is the preferred choice for wheels. The Newmen Advanced SL, the Newmen Evolution and the Newmen Performance are fitted. With these wheels you are not only fast in the corners, but they also offer a smooth ride. At the same time, you always have control over your bike and can agilely ride down the trails.
Tires: The Schwalbe Nobby Nic Supertrail Evo Addix Soft Supertrail is used in all three configurations. From enduro to all-mountain he shows his skills. The robust shoulder block provides more traction and for better self-cleaning, the block spacing has been increased. The studs in the middle provide good traction, whether in propulsion or braking. Another plus point of this all-rounder is the relatively low weight.

How do I know if the Propain Hugene is right for me
If you've decided against the Hugene trail bike, Propain offers other MTBs. With the Tyee, you have two options for frame material. You can usually get an aluminum bike cheaper than one with a carbon frame, but even here the high-end models cost their price. It's an enduro MTB with 170mm of suspension travel, so you can throw yourself down the mountain.
You also get the Spindrift in carbon and aluminum and the suspension travel is a bit more at 180 mm. You get an exquisite freeride MTB that is at its best in the bike park. Thanks to modern geometry, the trips uphill are also no longer a problem.
The Propain Ekano is an enduro e-bike for you in the range. You can choose it in two wheel sizes, as well as a mullet bike. Thus, you have the choice between more smoothness, more agility or a mixture of both categegories.
The Rage CF showcases the whole experience of the company from Allgäu. It is the first downhill bike that the company has designed and it is equipped with the award-winning Pro 10 rear triangle. The sturdy frame can take a beating and it has optimal handling qualities on the trail.
The Propain Trickshot lets you enjoy lap after lap on the pump tracks. For more playfulness, you're best off heading to the nearest skatepark and delivering a few tricks there.
For younger riders, Propain's lineup includes well-equipped bikes in all age brackets. The Yuma is designed for teenagers, with 24- and 26-inchers. From a developer forge in the basement, a global player has emerged
Robert Krauss and Markus Zander had the idea for a specially designed bike in 2006. In the beginning, the basement of the latter had to serve to put the first designs on paper.
The goal was to produce downhill bikes that would spend as little time as possible in the workshop. They should be equipped with high-quality components, to get the maximum out of the bike.
Due to the continuously good work, the business premises quickly became too small again and again. In 2012 the Propain Bicycles GmbH was founded, which today has its headquarters in Vogt.
