About Look Cycle
Look Cycle is a bicycle manufacturer founded in 1951 in Nevers, France, initially notable for founder Jean Beyl's invention of pivot binding. In 1984, this technology was adapted to cycling, leading to the development of the PP65, the first automatic pedal. The KG 86 followed in 1986 as the first carbon frame, tested by cycling greats Bernard Hinault and Greg LeMond at the Tour de France, with LeMond achieving victory on the innovative carbon frame. In 1990, Look unveiled the KG 196, a monobloc carbon frame that set new standards. Today, Look's multiple award-winning road bikes continue to dominate in professional cycling.
Look bikes are available in a variety of designs:
You can also purchase separate frame sets directly from the manufacturer for various models.
High-quality components from Shimano, SRAM and Co.
In the production of its bikes, Look Cycle relies on high-end components from established brands like SRAM, Shimano, and proprietary components.
Groupsets
Look bikes utilize gears and shifting systems from SRAM and Shimano, including options like SRAM Rival AXS, SRAM eTAP, Shimano Dura Ace 9200 Di2, Shimano Ultegra R8000 and R8100, as well as Shimano 105.
Brakes
Road bikes feature two types of brakes: rim brakes and disc brakes. While rim brakes may offer less performance in wet conditions, disc brakes provide reliable stopping power regardless of weather. Look matches the brake types to the shifting groups, incorporating both rim and disc brakes.
Saddle / Seatpost & Handlebar / Stem & Wheels
Look bikes include handlebars, wheels, saddles, and seatposts sourced from leading manufacturers such as Corima, Fulcrum, Shimano, and Selle Italia. Additionally, you can find advanced power meters like the SRM Powercontrol 8 for precise performance tracking.
Clipless pedals from Look
Look has always focused on developing innovative and high-performing pedals. Their extensive range of quality clipless pedals and matching cleats ensures bikes are optimized for control and power transfer. Click pedals allow for the cycling shoes used in professional contexts to engage securely. Look's offerings include the Kéo Blade Carbon pedal, favored by many professional road cyclists, and lightweight models like the Kéo 2 Max and Kéo 2 Max Carbon for excellent performance. For beginners, the comfortable Kéo Classic 3 and Kéo Classic 3 Plus feature stainless steel and come with non-slip Kéo Grip Cleats. Mountain biking options include Look Trail Grip and Look X-Track pedals, as well as Geo City pedals for urban bikes and Look Geo Trekking pedals for trekking applications.
