About Scott Contessa
Scott has made it their mission to ensure that nearly every Scott model has a Contessa version so that women can experience the same joy on their bike adventures. A specialist design team was assembled to tackle this project. Their combined experience in designing products specifically for women led to the creation of a new color palette for the Contessa range. They tackle far more than just aesthetics, with all components deliberately selected based on their specialist knowledge to suit female riders. The bikes are available with either a carbon or aluminum frame with different frame sizes on offer. The total weight of the bike varies depending on the frame size chosen.

Gravel enthusiasts seeking versatility can opt for the Scott Contessa Addict Gravel 15, Speedster Gravel 15, Speedster Gravel 35, and Speedster Gravel 25 EQ, offering comfortable rides on challenging terrain. Scott offers a range of e-bikes for motorized support, including Trail E-bikes, City E-bikes, and Touring E-bikes. Examples include the Contessa Strike eRide, Contessa Patron eRide, and Contessa Genius eRide 910.

Which components equip the Scott Contessa?
The components on Contessa bikes are carefully chosen to suit the needs of female riders. Across model years, suppliers like Shimano, SRAM, Bosch, SR Suntour, Kenda, Tektro, Schwalbe, Syncros, Formula, and Maxxis are prevalent.
SRAM and Shimano provide quality rear derailleurs and shifters. Examples include GX Eagle and Shimano Deore. Disc brakes dominate newer models for MTB, road, and gravel bikes, offering reliable all-weather performance. High-quality disc brakes ensure optimal braking even in adverse conditions. Shimano is highly trusted for brakes and brake discs thanks to their proven track record and precise work.
The suspension on Contessa Bikes accounts for lighter female riders, providing balanced damping. Hardtail MTBs have suspension forks, while full-suspension MTBs feature additional rear dampers. Suspension travel varies by model and terrain. Depending on the model one of the following will be used: FOX 34 Float Performance Air Grip 3, SR Suntour XCR32-RL-R, and RockShox SID Select+ RL3 Air custom Charger 3-Mode Damper.
Syncros components are preferred for saddle, seatpost, handlebars, and stem. TDS-C301-8FOV Stem and Syncros 3.0 handlebars are common choices. Wheel components are individually selected for rims, hubs, and spokes. Syncros rims, Formula hubs, and complete wheelsets are utilized. Tire choices encompass Maxxis, Kenda, and Schwalbe.
