Starting with the mechanical shift groupsets, you'll find the electric shifters as the prices go up. The shifters come from either SRAM or Shimano. For other components, KTM relies on the skills of DT Swiss, Fizik, Continental, Mavic, Schwalbe or Selle San Marco.
The Austrians develop quite a few components themselves and rely mainly on their own products for the cockpit. These can be optimally adapted to the own frame design.
Gear groups: The KTM Revelator Alto Master and the other models have a derailleur. For the rear derailleur and the other components you will find the quality of SRAM and Shimano. For example, the Shimano 105, Shimano Ultegra R8000 and Shimano Ultegra Di2 are used. From SRAM, the SRAM Rival eTap AXS is also used. In the top model of the Revelator Alto series you can rely on the Shimano Dura Ace Di2.
Brakes: On the Revelator Alto bikes, there's no way around the disc brakes. KTM ensures that you can brake precisely and powerfully the corners. Shimano and SRAM components are also used here.
Saddle: Here KTM has made the effort to select several saddle models, suitable for each bike. From its own research comes the KTM Line Sport, from Fizik the Antares R5 and from Selle San Marco the RND Manganese Rails. So you get the best possible comfort at every price range to ride long tours comfortably across the Alps.
Seatpost: In the seatpost you come across two KTM products. On the Alto Exonic and Alto Master you can enjoy the KTM ProLink Zero Carbon Aero / 400, while the KTM CompLink Zero Alloy Aero / 350 is used on the other bikes.
Handlebars & stem: For the front part of the cockpit you will find components from the KTM Prime, KTM Team and KTM Road series.
In addition to the frame height, the correct seating position is of great importance. This is the only way to get the most out of you and the bike.
Wheels: On the top model, the DT Swiss PRC 1400 Spline wheelset is at your service. The Mavic Ksyrium is used on almost all other Alto road wheels.
Tires: The tire choice falls on well-known manufacturers, such as Continental and Schwalbe. The Continental G-Prix 5000 or the Schwalbe Pro One V-Guard Evo are used. Both tires provide a low rolling resistance, so you can cover the miles with ease.
For your shopping cart you will find good prices including a good sorting of the goods in the KTM online store, where you can also browse carbon road bikes under $2,000.

The foundation stone of the company was laid in Mattighofen in 1938, which is part of the company name. KTM stands for Kronreif & Trunkenpolz Mattighofen and started as a repair shop. After the World War, they specialized in motorcycles, which contribute to a large extent to the good reputation of the brand. In 1953 the production of motorcycles in series was started. More than 10 years after that, the first bicycles were produced. It took another almost 15 years until the first road bike was launched in 1987.
Another ten years after that followed the production of the first MTBs, with the Ultra Cross. A year later, they cracked the one million mark in bikes produced. With modernization came first the aluminum frame and later the carbon frame. With steady growth, both nationally and internationally, a new headquarters was built, with a very nice showroom. It is stylishly furnished and glows in the KTM colors in many places.
